The Shamrock Shake Rainbow Lid

To honor the 50th anniversary of the iconic Shamrock Shake, we drew inspiration from its “golden” milestone and St. Patrick’s Day roots. The result? The Shamrock Shake Rainbow Lid—a dazzling addition that turned every shake into the gold at the end of the rainbow.

Crafted from flat prism plastic, the lid refracted light to create a rainbow effect, seamlessly tying the shake to St. Patrick’s Day festivities. More than just a lid, it was an Instagram-worthy moment that celebrated nostalgia and added a little magic to every sip.

This spec project was part of Chicago Portfolio School’s Winning the Pitch class, where we pitched the idea to McDonald’s PR AOR, Golin. Not only did my team’s concept win, but it also led to an interview and ultimately a job offer—kickstarting my creative career.
